DIY sprouts are super healthy to add to salads and reduces plastic packaging, and you can easily grow sprouts a home. My first sprouting kit was a DIY kit: plastic screen (probably toxic), mason jar with tin metal band. I switched from plastic to cheesecloth, then burlap, but neither was completely sustainable, since they needed replacing after a few uses – falling apart and difficulty fully cleaning & sterilizing and the tin bands gets rusty.
