In side by side same product comparisons, Scotch-Brite™ General Purpose Scouring Pad 96-20 scours two to three times faster and is two to three times more durable than comparable medium-duty green scouring pads. Longer life, washability and reusability all lead to extended pad life and postponing disposal into landfills. Abrasive mineral particles are evenly distributed throughout the pad, ensuring consistent scouring performance as the scouring pad is rinsed and reused. Scotch-Brite General Purpose Hand Pad 7447B combines flexibility with effective cutting action and precise hand control to accomplish tough cleaning jobs like paint prep and coating/corrosion removal and produce fine finishing results, use after use. Very fine grade aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast and fine, leaving a smooth, finished surface on metal, wood, plastics, ceramics, porcelain, glass, rubber and composites. Scotch-Brite 7447B is comparable to steel wool grade 1. However, unlike steel wool, Scotch-Brite pads 7447B won’t shred during use, rust after use, or create fine metal splinters. The nonwoven, open-web material resists loading and can be used dry or with water and solvents and rinsed clean for reuse. This multipurpose 6” x 9″ maroon pad can be used by hand for precise control, with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, or on an in-line sander to cover large areas. This flexible sanding pad uses aluminum oxide abrasive mineral, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life.
